JustOCR guide
How to compare OCR pricing fairly
Compare page definitions, output, minimum charges and the time needed to check results.
Start with the same job
A price comparison is useful only when each service is doing the same work. Define your document mix, selected pages, required output and acceptable review effort before collecting quotes. A text transcription is not equivalent to verified invoice fields or a spreadsheet.
Make the units comparable
Record the currency, billing unit, minimum job size, minimum spend, taxes and turnaround option. Ask whether a scanned page, image or selected PDF page counts differently, and how retries and failed pages are billed. Keep subscription fees, credit top-ups and actual processing charges separate.
JustOCR quotes by page, with a minimum of 30 pages per job. It reserves credits for accepted work, charges for successful pages and returns unused credits to your balance. This is not a cash refund. Check the pricing page and service terms for the options.
Check the output
Use the same sample, with permission, to test each service. Check reading order, numbers, missing text and tables against the source. Record the time spent checking and correcting results alongside the quoted cost. Keep dated vendor sources so you can check rates and limits again.
